The class will form a cadre of future leaders as the class fee also includes registration in the Influential Leadership online class Aug. 15-Sept. 15, 2025. The class will examine organizational motivation, systems management, strategy dialogue with the C-suite, creating ownership, and managing contingent labor use.
You will receive tools for setting a strategic plan across the organization and effective decision making to achieve safety excellence. Discover new strategies that engage all levels of organizations. You will learn the skills necessary to use actionable models for fostering a culture of safety, improving communication, and ensuring operational excellence in complex environments. You will recognize how the people of your organization, and your partnerships with them, make or break your health and safety management system.
Analyze and Evaluate: current organizational posture, existing challenges, risk exposures and aligning internal stakeholders including: Legal, Procurement, Operations, HR, Risk toward current methodology and practices.
Evaluate and Create: a modern framework, based on Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001, ANSI Z-10) to align stakeholders and better define goals and objectives for continually assessing and monitoring risk in a joint-employer environment.
Pre-requisites
Class applicants should already command a mastery of technical safety and have the qualifications/career path for top corporate management. Class applicants should be committed to leading large safety/operational programs within the next 2-5 years.

Executive Safety Forum Academy (In Person Classroom)
Executive Safety Forum Academy-Influential Leadership Online Class (Online-Instructor-Led): As a virtual learner, you’ll receive all the benefits of face-to-face instruction, eliminate travel cost and time, while learning in a structured way whether at work, at home or at another convenient location. To participate fully, you will need a computer with audio/video capability and a reliable internet connection.
During this four-week online course, you will connect with your peers in group discussions, participate in interactive learning activities, review instructional videos and complete assignments.
Each Tuesday throughout the duration of the course, your instructor will hold an online meeting from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. CT. These meetings are designed to facilitate group work, share expert knowledge, answer questions, provide feedback and offer active learning support.

Scott DeBow, CSP, ARM, ASSP Board member, serves as Principal of Risk/Safety for Avetta. With 20 years of progressive business leadership, Scott works to align people, teams, and industry resources within the joint-employer community, specifically focusing on safety leadership, Human/Org Performance (HOP) and Serious Injury Fatality Intervention strategies. His work experience and success in applying ‘Systems Thinking’ in today’s modern workforce has inspired him to write the book Safety Management Systems in a Joint-Employer Environment (ASSP 2023)

Shawn Bryant, CSP, Senior Leader DENSO International America. Safety, Health and Environmental professional leading world class systems at corporate, regional and site level. A results-oriented leader with over 25 years of experience improving and sustaining Safety, Health and Environment performance while contributing to business goals.

Heather MacDougall, JD, CSP, is a former Chairman of the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission (OSHRC) and former VP, Worldwide Workplace Health & Safety, Amazon. She draws upon her three decades of experience as a lawyer and senior executive to partner with clients on workplace health and safety to: implement strategies for achieving regulatory objectives, engage with stakeholders, design organization and strategy that aligns leadership, structures, systems, and processes; and achieve safety excellence.

Marjorie McDonald U.S. Army Headquarters serves as the Army's principal safety and health leader with a direct impact on the safety and health of our Soldiers, Civilians, Families, and Contractors. The primary advisor to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health, the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, and other Army leaders for all matters related to safety and occupational health. Leading the Army safety and occupational health program, making observations, conclusions, and recommendations crucial to advancing the prevention of loss across the Army. Develops, coordinates, and monitors the broad spectrum of long-range plans, programs, policies, methods, and activities planned and carried out by the Army Staff, commands, and installations to protect personnel and materiel from accidental loss and to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance. Develops and manages an Army-wide program to preserve Army human and materiel resources in support of Army missions and readiness and to prevent conditions that may endanger life, property, and the environment within and outside of Army installations. As the Army's expert, furnishes technical guidance to top-level Army leaders and personnel of other government agencies.

James Boretti, CSP, is president and CEO of Boretti Inc., a professional consulting firm supporting the design, development and implementation of workplace safety and health solutions. He is a former regional vice president of Region I, former president of the Central Valley and Orange County Chapters and has served on ASSP’s Council on Professional Affairs. Boretti is a recipient of the Society President’s Award for Continual Leadership and Mentoring, and two Culbertson Awards for Volunteerism.

Substitutions and Cancellations
Need to substitute one person for another? Please submit substitutions by July 14, 2025 to customerservice@assp.org. If pricing has changed, you will be charged or refunded the difference. After July 14, 2025 a $75 substitution fee will apply.
ASSP will grant full refunds to cancellation requests received by July 8, 2025, via email to customerservice@assp.org. We will assess the following cancellation fees to cancellations received via email between July 9-July 14, 2025: Conference $200; Pre and/or post conference courses $200/course.
Cancellations requested after July 14, 2025 will forfeit refunds in their entirety.
