Terry L. Ketchum is a semi-retired health, environmental, and safety professional with over 35 years of experience spanning both the private and public sectors. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Youngstown State University, with a minor in Military Science.
An active member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) since 1999, Ketchum has contributed extensively to the Society’s standards and governance efforts. He currently serves on the Standards Development Committee, the Advisory Group, and the Advisory Group’s Operations Committee. He is also the chair of the ANSI/ASSP Z117 committee and a member—and recent past chair—of the Z15.1-2024 Safe Practices for Motor Vehicle Operation committee.
Ketchum also serves several other standards committees, including A1264.1, Z10, Z16.1, Z244.1, and Z490.1. He is a professional member of ASSP’s Northern Ohio Chapter and an engaged participant in the Society’s Industrial Hygiene, Transportation, and Risk Management practice specialties.

Alan is a seasoned safety professional with a career spanning nearly two decades, specializing in fleet safety and loss prevention across transportation and general industry. Since 2013, he has served as a General Industry Safety Consultant at The Graham Company, advising clients in sectors such as transportation, manufacturing, and health services. Alan’s expertise includes fleet risk management, driver safety programs, regulatory compliance, and property fire protection. He holds key credentials including CSP, CDS (Certified Director of Safety), CESCP, and ARM. With a B.S. in Industrial Health & Safety from Penn State, Alan is also HAZWOPER-certified.
